It’s no secret I’m a vintage negligee, lingerie and loungewear enthusiast, so when Nikki of Meraki Vintage sent me this adorable powder pink dressing gown to add to my already booming collection, I was over the moon. While these garments may feel rather impractical in that their purpose is mostly to remain indoors (I have styled a nightgown for outdoor wear though), they are still pieces that feel very important in my closet. Wearing something at home that feels both pretty and comfortable is a must for me. I’m a homebody through and through, and I often feel no desire to get dressed in my outdoor garb if I’m just going to be sitting around the house all day, so these pieces are the perfect option that make me feel less like a frumpy lazy butt, and more like an adorable lazy butt.
Meraki Vintage is filled with pieces that span the 50s-90s, with a penchant for fun and colourful prints, which I absolutely adore. It’s a shop filled to the brim with varying styles for most anyone. I had an awfully hard time trying to pick just one piece since so many of them called to me. Lucky for you today I’m hosting a giveaway with Meraki Vintage! One of you could win $25 to her shop so you too can have an equally difficult (but actually fun) time picking from the assortment of loveliness!

This dressing gown is just so sweet and I adore the collar. I am quite the same, I too collect vintage sleepwear and loungewear and I cannot stop adding to my collection. It feels so glamorous to wear such pretty things to bed and around the house on lazy days. I especially always love wearing a vintage dressing gown when sitting at my vanity and doing my makeup for a day out. It makes the entire process more of an indulgence than a chore for me.
I love the way your styled the nightgown into day wear. There have been more than one occasions in which I’ve wanted to do the same!
My favourite is this gorgeous maxi: https://www.etsy.com/listing/187683714/60s-long-yellow-dress-polka-dot-floral?ref=shop_home_active_17

I totally agree with you. There is something about just sitting around in sweatpants and a grubby shirt that doesnt feel right to me. I mean I do do it on occasion, but it doesn’t feel like me. vintage sleepwear and loungewear is the absolute best, in my opinion. If I could wear just that outside, I would be quite happy and it sounds like you feel the same haha! Sharing the vintage loungewear love!
And thank you!!

This dressing gown and all of your photos are absolutely lovely. Usually I dress up just when I’m lounging around so I don’t feel too lazy, but I think your way might be even better! Now I have something new to add to my ever expanding vintage wish list.
Choosing a favourite item from the Meraki shop was difficult indeed (that cat sweater? too cute), but I have to say it’s the 50s/60s eyelet dress: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/206691668/50s-60s-eyelet-dress-with-matching?ref=shop_home_active_19
