IT’S HERE…

ACT THREE. ‘s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection! It feels like we shot this lookbook ages ago, and I have been dying to share it and these perfect little dresses ever since. We were lucky to find a room at The Gladstone Hotel that would made all our Ballet meets Renoir meets Versailles dreams come true and I think it helped to bring out the magic and elegance of this collection. As always, I am so proud to be a part of Sarah’s little team and I hope you all love the collection as much as I do.

Modelling for Birds of North America SS ’16

ROMPERS AND CO-ORDS AND SUNSHINE, OH MY!

A few months ago – well before being bare-legged and coat-less would be deemed insane – Arden, Amber and myself (ha! triple A) got together to shoot some pieces from Birds Of North America SS ’16 collection for Victoire’s web store. This was the first time being in front of Arden’s lens, and it was every bit as wonderful as I thought it would be. There are some photographers I just feel instantly comfortable with from the get-go, and Arden is one of them. As for Birds, well I’ve been following Hayley’s label for awhile now, and I think this is my favourite collection yet. I’ve made it no secret that co-ords are what I would love to be wearing come warm weather, and this collection is full of those and so much more. So! Come on Spring! Get here already!

ACT THREE. AW ’15 Lookbook

I’m so excited to finally be able to share with you ACT THREE.‘s AW ’15 lookbook that I styled and modelled for back when snow was still very much on the ground (ugh! let’s not even think about that). If you follow me on instagram, then you have already seen images here and there, but if you don’t (you probably should though), then this will all be new to you.

Sarah McGowan, founder and designer of ACT THREE. wanted to create a line of accessible vintage inspired garments for petite women (5’4″ and under) like herself, and so was born Act Three and this adorable collection of varying styles of dresses that I honestly want to own each and every one of. Unfortunately friends, she doesn’t have her own online shop (although maybe one day), but her stockists at the moment will be Victoire and Coal’s Miner’s Daughter and they both have online shops, so be sure to check check check when her pieces are available to nab yourself something.

I really love the black button up with contrasting white collar and the black & white polkadot with a high neck tie. What are you favourites?!

Behind The Scenes / Three Little Honey Bees

If you follow me on instagram, then you probably already know I styled another editorial with Gerald last weekend. This shoot was slightly reminiscent of the first shoot I ever did with Gerald, The Anderson Sisters, and I really cannot wait until we can release the photos, it was a truly wonderful shoot. The day was spent at High Park with Gerald working his magic, the beautiful Annya art directing, Holly Kurmis of Hot Makeup making the gals look even more stunning with hair and makeup, myself styling some gems and of course the three honey-haired beauties, Mila (Peggi Lepage), Lauren (Spot 6) and M.K. (Anita Norris Models).

Normally when I style shoots I tend to use a lot of vintage that is either from my personal wardrobe or from my shop, but this time around I wanted to feature some independent designers and shops. I had pieces from Samantha Pleet, The Aspen Tree Vintage, Fortnight Lingerie, She and Reverie, Heart of Gold Designs and of course my personal stuff. I think the mix of vintage and new looked awesome together, and I especially love how the matchy-ish yellow and white outfits turned out.

A few months back I was given some pieces from Mode Laboratory’s SS ’15 collection to shoot, and since their pieces have a whimsical, surreal feel to them, I thought Gerald would be the perfect photographer to capture them in the best possible light.
