1. Our spider plant is dying…I think. Also please ignore it’s ugly pot, it needs to be re-potted into something more aesthetically pleasing. Any tips for keeping a healthy and happy spider plant? Ryan has quite a green thumb, but this lil baby seems unhappy, still. Also, our Brennan Michael candle is still going strong, and seriously, it smells amazing, get yourself one!
2. We have been looking after Ryan’s family dog Beans for the last month. Watching her and Gus play is actually so hilarious.
3. There aren’t many details about my apartment that I truly enjoy, but I love the mirror and light fixture in our bathroom.
4. Hey, there’s me, in the mirror!
5. My go-to breakfast of late – greek yogurt, fruits, fruits, fruits and flax seeds (also I aint no food photographer, this is real life peeps)
6. Beans needs constant attention and steals all the socks!

1. Old books.
2. My new-to-me pink 1950s flour, sugar, coffee and tea canisters.
3. iPhones are addictive, guys…especially when you have two.
4. We finally got curtains for our livingroom. Ryan decided to put his polar bear figurines (Ryan has loved polar bears since he was young) on the windowsill, on top of the curtain, to create a snowy scene for the bear…ya, I dunno either.
5. I see a pattern here…another 1950s pink kitchen item…this time a mixing bowl, with a happy little pineapple inside (we also got a juicer recently, so we have fruits galore).
6. We are looking after Ryan’s family dog, Beans, for the next few weeks. Aren’t they cute together? Like salt and pepper. (iphone)
7. Our livingroom is kind of filled with guitars and guitar amps. I’m still trying to figure out how to make the livingroom feel equal parts me and equal parts Ryan…it’s very Ryan right now.
8. A sleeping cloud baby.
9. We need to fix the frame on this picture so Bob Dylan can find a home on the wall. Also, maybe I should paint it a better colour.
10. Messy bed, that I’d very much like to be in right about now. (iphone)

1-2. The sparkly Christmas tree at Ryan’s dad’s place.
3-5. Ryan opening his Christmas presents from me, and Gus can obviously never live a minute of his life without sitting on someones lap.
6. My new, beautiful Samantha Pleet x Wolverine Arc Boots – they were a gift from Ryan.
7-9. I very badly would like the couch in Ryan’s dad’s office…but I mostly posted these pictures because Gus is adorable.
10. My equally beautiful clutch from Falconwright – another gift from Ryan.
11. If you are ever feeling down, put Gus in a bag.
12-13. I realized I had never shared these illustrations of me by Sara Rocha (only on my instagram), a lovely girl I met through instagram, who is super sweet and has a knack for illustrating fashion bloggers in the most adorable way. She’s so talented, so please check out her work. You may recognize these illustrations were inspired by these photographs… 1, 2.
A Very Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays my dear friends! It’s a bit of a strange/sad Christmas for me, as this is the first Christmas in my 26 years that I am not with my family. Last night was odd because every Christmas Eve my mother and I sit down to watch A Christmas Carol together – not being able to do that made me really miss her. I’m currently in Barrie with Ryan’s family for the holidays. There is no snow here, which also sort of feels like a first – I can’t remember the last time we didn’t have snow for Christmas.
Anyways, I should be off! I desperately need coffee and should probably actually give myself a break for the next few days. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas or Holidays or Festivus, et. al.

1. When I first adopted Gus I used to find him in the most entertaining spots around the house. I had a series of photographs of him called “____ Gus”, so for example, “shelf Gus”, “recycling Gus”…you get the idea. I guess this is stool Gus, or bedside Gus.
2-6. Just some bits and moments from around the house last week.
