Miss Crofton 2016

Miss Crofton 2016Ooo Baby Baby

Miss Crofton has remained my favourite lingerie and underwear brand for a long time now (and since TLO is no more, it definitely holds first place). They consistently come out with pieces that are feminine, sexy and wearable…wearable being the keyword there. It’s all too often you find pieces that are interesting and sexy, but surely not something you can wear outside of the bedroom. I have a hard time finding reason to spend money on something that rarely gets worn because it’s intended for a specific occasion, so I like the idea of a brand that strives for both comfort and sexiness, and can be worn at any time – star of the show or hidden beneath your clothes.

This collection may be my favourite yet, although, I have been known to say that with many of my favourite labels season after season. Aside from wanting to own each piece (I really do!), the lookbook is the best yet, imo. It’s clearly inspired by Pantone Colour of the Year and the clean, pastel aesthetic of the internet world, which, if I’m being honest (and a little sassy) is becoming a bit “ya, we get it.”, but still undeniably visually appealing, so I shall remain a fan.

Have you heard of Miss Crofton? What’s your favourite piece? Not really your style? Let me know in the comments below.

How Am I Not Myself?

Larkspur Vintage | Outfit: How Am I Not Myself?Larkspur Vintage | Outfit: How Am I Not Myself?I wanted to write something thoughtful to accompany these images, but sometimes images should be left to speak for themselves (which is just a cope out way of saying my brain isn’t feeling that stream of consciousness right now). So, that’s what I’ll let them do.

Hope ya’ll had a nice weekend. Tell me about it ❤

Into It, Intimates / Unmentionables

141969-397453fe68b7495d8aa9f7c86251a6dfUnmentionables, a brand based on the South Coast UK, has an undeniable bohemian feel, with interesting twists and details added to your typical vintage styles. I think my favourite part – and what initially drew me into this brand – is the floral appliques adorning bralettes and knickers. I could see some gals sporting these at something like Coachella, especially the fringed halter crop. They are clearly pieces mean’t for show and not so much practical everyday wear, but I think that’s the fun of intimates. There is so much to find for all sides of yourself – the practical and the frivolous, the sexy and the sweet, the naughty and the nice. I think Unmentionables has most of these covered.

My favourites: Folking Florals highwaist panties, Hang Loose playsuit, Eve mesh bralette, Folking Florals strappy bralette, Not So Basic mesh bodysuit, Eve suspender belt

Into It, Intimates / Lena Lena Lingerie

il_fullxfull.572497823_3z55What is it about bows on intimates that make them that much more appealing?! I mean, it is rather impractical for everyday wear (I’ve never been one for practicality though), and yet it seems like bows were mean’t for undergarments (and everything really) – like a wrapped present. So, it only made sense I fell for Lena Lena Lingerie almost instantly. Bows galore! Designer Elena is inspired by feminine sensuality and the charm it evokes, which is brought to life in her collection of sweet and sultry pieces that would make any woman feel her best. And how about that ivory bodysuit?! Any collection featuring one or more bodysuits is a collection I can get down with. Maybe it’s from the years and years (and years) of wearing bodysuits for dance classes, but I always get super excited when I see ones with interesting cuts and details.

My favourites: ivory lace high waisted panties, black lace bandeau, black strapless bra, admire me set, ivory bodysuit

Into It, Intimates / Sugar Lace Lingerie

il_fullxfull.723186854_6qtzI instantly fell for Sugar Lace Lingerie because of the adorably feminine designs and perfectly sweet colour combinations. While I’m not usually one for colourful intimates, I absolutely make an exception when the pieces are in the most beautiful pastel shades. I mean, how could you say no to any one of these?! Designer Adrianna Tenorio is based out of Chicago, IL. where she went to school for fashion illustration and design. In her last two years of school she realized her love for lingerie design and that’s when Sugar Lace Lingerie came to fruition (and thank goodness for that!). Sharing this brand comes at just the right time, since Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I liken each of these pieces to sweet and sugary goodness.

My favourites: Peachy Keen garter belt skirt, Pretty Peach panties, Lace bra and silk knickers set, Peach Dream bralette
