Styling / Behind the scenes

DSC_3702Last weekend I styled a shoot for Danielle, with makeup and hair by Lisa and modelled by little doll face, Charlotte. In between styling and helping Danielle with some things, I managed to snap a few behind the scenes photos, as I usually try to do when I am styling a shoot, so that I can share it with you!

Working with Danielle is always such a pleasure. I feel like we have the same sort of mind-set when it comes to the process of shooting and I love that she gives me a lot of creative freedom when styling. It’s nice to find someone you feel at ease with and your vision is much the same, cause goodness knows creatives can butt heads when they feel the integrity of their work is being compromised. Anyways, here is just a few snaps from my DSLR/iPhone, and you can be sure I’ll share the final images with you when Danielle releases them.DSC_3676DSC_3683DSC_3693Processed with VSCOcam with g3 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with n3 presetDSC_3700

Styling / Mode Laboratory

3A few months back I was given some pieces from Mode Laboratory’s SS ’15 collection to shoot, and since their pieces have a whimsical, surreal feel to them, I thought Gerald would be the perfect photographer to capture them in the best possible light. I wanted to share a few of the final images with you, so here we are!

Behind The Scenes / Winter Whimsy

DSC_1250On Saturday I made my way over to Brantford, ON to style and work on another photoshoot with Gerald, Annya and our model Emma. About 1 month ago I was given some pieces from Mode Laboratory’s SS 2015 collection and was waiting for the perfect time to use them. While the pieces are indeed Spring/Summer I thought they worked splendidly with our wintery photoshoot. There is something so magical about winter landscapes and a model adorned in white and pastel pieces. Mode Laboratory’s pieces are whimsical in and of themselves and I think they were a match made in heaven for the work that Gerald produces. I’m uncertain when I’ll be able to show you the final images, but for now, here are a few behind the scene photos I took during the shoot.

Larkspur Summer 2014

photo (13)And it’s finally here, Larkspur Summer 2014 lookbook! I know, I know, summer is basically well and over now…almost. What took me so long? Well a ton of things really. But the nice thing about running a vintage shop is you can pretty well do whatever you damn like. There are no rules in my opinion (right?!). So here we are. I hope you enjoy! All items in the lookbook will be available in the shop by the end of the week. So keep a lookout (although I’m sure i’ll let you know).

The Virgin Blue

img185I’m so excited to able to share the editorial that styled for ROMM magazine‘s upcoming Issue 8. All outfits I styled are either Larkspur garments or from my own personal closet – I’m sure you’ll recognize some of them!

No outfit post today, I got too exhausted last night trying to edit photos after a late night performing at an event – could not keep my eyes open. I’ll have something posted for tomorrow.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
