1. Last weekend I styled and modeled Act Three’s AW ’15 lookbook, and this was one of the looks. Sarah’s dresses are seriously to die for and I can’t wait to be able to share the whole lookbook with you guys. She is so incredibly talented and I think you guys are really going to love her designs.
2. We shot the lookbook at this amazing loft here in Toronto. How people find spaces like this is beyond me! The tenant has done a ton of work to make the space liveable and it’s really inspiring.
3. A beautiful illustration of me by an instagram follower @jennydiekaiserin – it’s so lovely and flattering when artists are inspired by my photographs. I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude when people share their work with me.
4. A super gorgeous watercolour of me by another instagram follower @ina_ritar – again, I feel so lucky that such talented people are inspired by my portraits. (i added the border cause I have a problem with photos not lining up, fyi.)

I met Heather Wells, designer of these exquisite headpieces and the creator behind Heart of Gold Designs, through instagram last summer. Her headpieces are made from vintage and precious materials crafted into these incredibly romantic and ethereal pieces that would make any gal (or guy) feel like an elegant, otherworldly creature. I knew I would want to shoot some of her pieces at some point and luck would have it that Meaghan and I had envisioned a shoot like this almost one year ago (except with a lot more snow…snow, she’s never there when you need her), so Heather’s pieces felt like the perfect fit once we finally brought this shoot to fruition. I’m pretty happy with how the images turned out. Meaghan and I took turns behind and in front of my pentax on this somewhat mild winter day.

I have not had a free weekend in what seems like weeks. Mind you, I normally have Sundays free for whatever I like, but I consider a true free-of-work weekend when I have both Saturday and Sunday off. I cannot complain though, I spent most of Saturday styling another shoot for Gerald, which really doesn’t feel like work at all, but rather something that is fun and gets my creative juices flowing. The other half of the weekend was for blog and shop affairs. I’ll be honest, I’ve been feeling pretty overwhelmed with finding the time to really give my online shop the love and care it desperately needs – it’s down to the bare bones at this point. But I spent a few hours on Sunday photographing items to list all through the week and I’m hoping I can keep up with this and get back to where we were before I moved a huge amount of stock over to Odd Finds General Store and became busier than ever. I’ve also been feeling sort of uninspired with my writing recently, so we’ll just leave it at that for today.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
