Shoppy Shop Update

The 60’s are alive and well in this shop update. Luck befell me whilst thrifting last week – there are a few dresses, that if they actually fit me, would not be up for sale, that is for sure. Come by the shop today and take a peek-a-roo.

Parkdale Flea

DSC_0786Oh goodness guys! Thanks to all my (and Matt’s) lovely pals who came out to the Parkdale Flea on Sunday to give me a couple hellos, and even those cool pals that bought some of my stock! I somehow survived the evening before of way too much tagging and steaming, thanks to my seriously amazing and helpful boyfriend.

The day was filled with sunshine (but god awful wind), neat vendors selling handcrafted wood works, mini doughnuts (geeze louise I could have eaten 3 bags of those bad boys) smoothies/lemonades, beautiful antiques and vintage galore. I didn’t get to do too much browsing myself, because I was manning my booth alone most of the time, but that was quite alright. A gal, like myself, who loves to buy things I probably don’t need, should usually flee (ha!) temptation.

Vince and Josh (the organizers behind this here flea) plan to make this a monthly event. So keep an eye out, you wonderful people!DSC_0754 DSC_0762 DSC_0763 DSC_0766 DSC_0768 DSC_0769DSC_0785 DSC_0794 DSC_0777If only that gosh darn skirt fit me! But at least a pal ended up buying it, so I know it’s in good hands.DSC_0790

Larkspur at The Parkdale Flea

larkspurflyerI very last minute (!!!) got asked to be a vendor at the Parkdale Flea this year! If you are around tomorrow (especially if you live in Parkdale) you should come by and say hello! I would love to see all your beautiful faces! They’ll be vendors selling vintage, antiques, collectables, local artisans, designers, and some nummy foods – a recipe for a lovely day. Furry friends and all are welcome!

Shop Update with a new look!

etsy51970’s Pale Yellow Halter Dress

Ah! Well this looks a bit different now doesn’t it?! I had a few thinks, and finally decided I would start to model all shop items from now on. Time and time again I’d receive a plethora of messages from people on Etsy asking if they could see items on a model, and I just decided, enough is enough, I shalst just model the clothes right from the get-go. It will be a nice change! It goes without saying I enjoy putting outfits together, so this was a real treat for me on a really stressful day.

I am off to Bruce Peninsula today to rough it in the woods (sort of), and swim in a grotto. I do not plan to look at my phone or be on the internet much, so I’ll be MIA from this here, cyber world. Anything sold in the shop from today until Sunday July 28th, will be shipped on Monday.

BTW! Please pardon Gus. He truly cannot live a single moment without being as close to me as humanly (animaly??) possible. Lucky for me he’s pretty darn cute, and more than likely steals the show. Dog definitely not for sale!

Larkspur has grown in leaps and bounds since Alex and I sat together in a Tim Hortons (it was a Sunday night, and we were tired of walking around in the cold finding out everything was closed) plotting when and how to launch the shop. I’ve had an absolutely amazing time doing our first pop ups and working with other bloggers on sponsorships and hosting giveaways, but I have a lot on my plate at the moment and even more in the works, and I’m afraid I’m going to be bowing out of Larkspur, and leaving the shop and blog in Alex’s very able hands – she’s got big plans for it, and I can’t wait to see all the places it’ll go!

I”m sure I’ll make an appearance here and there, so I won’t say goodbye! It’s been so lovely getting to know you all, and I’ll keep you posted on any future projects!
Till then, keep your eyes on this shop, cause I have a feeling Alex will be making big things happen!
