This past weekend Meaghan, Amanda, Sarah and I headed to Hamilton to have a little reunion with Kira who was in town from Chicago visiting her family. If you guys have been following this blog since it’s inception then you will remember Kira and her extraordinary photography/design skills (and her flippin’ infectious smile), which she so generously loaned her magic making talents to us throughout much of Larkspur’s baby years. It was so fun to have a girls day, sipping drinks in and by the pool, dancing like fools to 90s jams and laughing a whole bunch. I had never been to Kira’s parent’s place and I’m sad I didn’t take any pictures of it, because honestly, it’s so amazing! Think West Hollywood mansions in Brett Easton Ellis novels – all white, big bright windows everywhere, with the air of a place both nostalgic and futuristic. It would be the place where the young and rich came to party, doing lines of coke off marble counter tops, wearing sunglasses inside and bathing suits 24 hours a day. Obviously not the type of shenanigans we were getting into, but that’s what this place feels like could happen.
I did manage to snap a few pictures of my babely friends (and one adorable pup) though, so you’ll have to deal with that instead of the house…poor you.
